Oil & Gas Division
Blue Moon Diamond Holdings’ oil and gas (“O&G”) division focuses on delivering energy for the African continent and beyond. The O&G division mainly focuses on the midstream and downstream operations even though we have an upstream team dedicated to discovering new potential in underexplored sedimentary basins offshore of Africa.
We actively manage a mixed range portfolio of assets comprising oil production, crude oil trading, oil & gas explorations, and downstream distribution operations.
BMDH is a major player in the oil & gas downstream operations. We are heavily involved in oil refining, oil & gas marketing, distribution, and sale of gasoline, natural gas liquids, diesel, and a variety of other energy sources.
Our main focus is on procurement and logistics for Oil & Gas, import & export of oil & gas products (Diesel, Petrol, Aviation Jet Fuel A1, Aviation Kerosene and HFC Gas), storage and delivery of oil & gas products, and supply of logistics services towards prospecting, drilling and production of oil & gas.

Crude Oil Trading
Optimizing the supply and marketing of positions in international markets.
Our operations consist of the supply of crude oil and products for Refining systems and other needs, the marketing of crude oil and our own products, their maritime transport, and the management of product coverage in the financial derivatives markets. Our oil & gas team helps clients meet the complex trade challenges they face.
Our oil & gas trading team has many years of experience working with government-owned producers, leading oil traders and energy multinationals. This has given us critical insight into how to put together deals, assess risks and advise on trading issues and the financing, transport and supply of oil and gas.
We advise on trading and operational disputes, covering matters of quality, quantity, contamination and shortage, and on the letter of credit disputes and contracts for physical sale and purchase.
Our derivatives practice has grown out of our traditional strengths in the international trading market. Management of commodity price, freight, currency exchange and interest risks have become an everyday part of this sophisticated market. We also advise on a wide range of derivatives products.
